Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

  • Was curious about the color selection considering the red color of the building.
  • Was also curious about the depth and character of the sign.  It would be great if it could be a bit more artistic considering the neighborhood and that this is the entryway to the district.

Project details presented by Adelle Wincek of Be Next Graphics and Awnings.  Details presented on cleaning the brick, the proposed black awnings, color change to burgundy and white for the columns and base.

Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

  • Why are the facade elements being painted?  Not sure if choosing a color to blend in with the brick an improvement.
  • Reinstate the horizontal cornice to tie the two entrances together
  • White seems a bit stark, perhaps an off-white would be better?
  • If the base is already a natural stone color, then don't paint it white.
